Our Story
Born from a journey.
Rooted in the leaf.
Camellia House began in 2009 when our founder, Eleanor Marsh, returned from a year living in the tea mountains of Fujian, China. Transformed by the culture of gongfu cha — the art of making tea with full attention — she set out to bring that same reverence to the West.
Today, we work directly with 18 family-run gardens across Japan, China, India, and Taiwan. Every tea we carry has been tasted by Eleanor herself, and every grower we partner with shares our commitment to sustainable, unhurried cultivation.
